Kindergarten is back at EEC

EEC cannot wait for a final plan from the state and is moving forward with offering full day, full time Kindergarten program. Care for your child will begin at 7:15am and end at 5:45pm. The tuition covers full day care, which we feel is easier than offering a school day option and the option of adding before and after care.

This program is recognized by the state of the Delaware as a Kindergarten program. We will be using the Creative Curriculum and are currently investigating adding a supplemental math and/or reading program. They will receive report cards quarterly, as well as interim progress reports.

This will be a play-based learning environment with teacher directed activities that elevate the student’s engagement and learning. There will be organized group times both large and small. This program will be capped at 10 children.

We currently have teachers on staff that are equipped and capable of teaching this group of students. This will not be the first time EEC has had kindergarten. Actually, a PreK/Kindergarten classroom is where I started at EEC. We are excited to be able to offer this to families.

If you are a current PreK student that would be entering Kindergarten in the fall– you will withdraw and re-enroll. So you will receive your deposit back, in late August.

Because we will need to do some purchasing of supplies and materials to prep for Kindergarten and to plan for teaching staff, we will need a commitment no later than July 23rd. We will need the returned signed application with 2 month’s tuition for a deposit. One month’s tuition will be applied to January 2021 and the second month’s tuition will be applied to May 2021.
