Holiday Giving at EEC

EEC Families,

Each year we try to do our part to support those in the EEC community or former EEC alumni serving the community that need some extra assistance during the holiday season. Because we know we can’t help everyone we try to pick one or two organizations that have ties to EEC. This year we have selected two that are tied to the Norris family, EEC alumni from the 80s.

Sarah and Maggie are former EEC graduate’s, and Sarah a kindergarten and high school classmate of mine.

Julia’s Light honors the brief life of Julie Grayce, Sarah’s daughter, and raises awareness of infant mortality rates during birth.

Maggie is the Chief External Affairs & Communications Officer at Westside Family Health Center. Through donations from the community, Westside provides books to children and families that come in for health visits. We know the impact and importance of reading with children, and we look to support them in their efforts.

Ways to help: Bring in new or like new books for any age child, tween, teen. There will be a collection bin starting Monday. Please make sure if the books are not new that they have no signs of wear and tear.

Give to Julia’s Light 6th Annual Gift Drive that runs through December 4, 2023. To keep Julia's spirit alive, we collect Christmas gifts and contributions for migrant workers and disadvantaged families at St. Rocco Church in Avondale, PA, in honor of Julia’s 7th birthday on December 4. St. Rocco has typically over 100 families benefit from the toys, games, bikes, sports equipment, new clothes, and school supplies that are donated. Please consider giving. THANK YOU for the consideration. Items can be dropped in the trashcans in the vestibule and gift cards and money can be handed in at the front desk.

They are specifically asking for:
