Class transitions!

EEC parents –

As we approached the 2022/2023 school year we wanted to share some information with you, as we have realized this is the first “typical” start to a school year we have had in a couple years. Fingers crossed, I didn’t just jinx things.

Our school year runs August 22, 2022 – June 15, 2023. While we run a 12 month program, we do give families the option to go part-time for the summer. We run our calendar the way we do to support our parents who are teachers that work a week longer than the children go back to school and a week earlier than the children start back.

As we had no children in our PreK 4 program move this year, our June transition was minimal. That means our August transition will impact almost all children. Reminder: EEC is closed August 18th and 19th for In-Service. This includes not only the changing over of classrooms, but also required yearly Professional Development.

We know how difficult transitions can be for children and put a lot of time and effort and thought into making these transitions as easy as possible.

How do we decide what classroom your child goes in? This is almost always based on age.

When will I find out where my child is going? We will have classroom assignments out Friday of next week. We may not have completed staffing/teacher assignments out until a week prior to the school year.

With your classroom assignment information, you will receive a what to bring packet.

Should you have any questions please email admin@eecde.org.
