August Covid-19 Updates

Good afternoon EEC Families:

Per the recommendations of the CDC we will be masking up starting Monday. All adults entering the building will be required to wear a mask. We are continuing the monitor children via daily health checks. Children with a temperature of 100.4 or above may not attend school. Fever reducing medication should not be given to a child. They must remain fever free without medication to attend school. If your child has a persistant cough or runny nose please consult your child's pediatrician.

We ask that if you find yourself and/or children in a high risk activity or area of the country to please test before returning. This will be on your honor, but we have been very fortunate to make it this far with little interruption to care or operation. We are working with DPH to allow testing at school district sites, or increase the availability for children and childcare providers.

We are not requiring masks on children at this time. I am keeping in regular contact with Delaware Department of Health. While it is unknown if it was causation or correlation centers that masked children earlier in the pandemic had higher rates of COVID-19 in their childcare centers.

Please continue to keep drop offs and pick ups quick. Please continue to enter through the front door and exit through the back door.

This continues to be an everchanging situation. We rarely are given more than 24 hours before changes to regulations are made and we appreciate your patience and support as we navigate through these unpredictable times.
